Interjection is a word that is used to show a short sudden expression of emotion. There're many interjections, our list shows the most common.
AH
used to express understanding, pleasure, pain, surprise, or the fact that you have noticed something
Examples:
Ah, I see.
Ah, John, how wonderful to see you!
Ah, what a lovely baby!
EH
used to express surprise or confusion, to ask someone to repeat what they have said, or as a way of getting someone to give some type of reaction to a statement that you have made
Examples:
"Did you hear what I said?" "Eh? Say it again."
Eh! Really?

ALAS
used to express sadness or feeling sorry about something
Examples:
"Will you be able to come tomorrow?" "Alas, no."
Alas, he's dead now.

HI
used as an informal greeting, usually to people who you know

Hi, how are you doing?

HMM
something you say when you pause while talking or when you are uncertain
Examples:

HEY
used as a way of attracting someone's attention, sometimes in a way that is not very polite
Examples:
Hey, are you guys coming to party?
Hey! What are you doing with my bike!

the sound that people often make when they pause in the middle of what they are saying or pause before they speak, often because they are deciding what to say

OH
used to express different emotions, such as surprise, disappointment, and pleasure, often as a reaction to something someone has said

sed in writing to represent the sound that people sometimes make in order to agree with or show understanding of something that has just been said

used in writing to represent the sound that people make when they are pausing or deciding what to say next

a sound made to get someone's attention, especially without other people noticing
